Assistant General Manager

The following are examples of the AGM job responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate a high level of understanding of daily operations and stay familiar with all staff, the property, menus, policies, procedures, and updates.
• Ensure alignment on operational goals and strategies.
• Maintain a positive working environment and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Train employees, attend manager meetings, and assist with Department of Health preparation.
• Address customer complaints or issues with a positive attitude.
• Ensure all staff comply with safe food handling procedures and supervise food preparation to guarantee adherence to health and hygiene standards.
• Review all location feedback and discuss insights with the GM and AGM during one-on-one meetings.
• Assist in staff development, including training evaluations, identifying coaching needs, and reviewing performance against goals.
• Assist with new hires, including resume review, interviews, and training scheduling.
• Audit and review bar inventory, employee checklists, side work, third-party menus, and location reviews.
• Support scheduling and onboarding for new hires, including reviewing resumes and participating in interviews.
• Fill in as interim GM when needed.

Requirements:

You should have a minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a manager in a fast-paced dining service restaurant, preferably in New York City.

Salary: Starting at $66,000.00 per year based on experience
